It's hard to believe it's only been a week after that day. Between the strange occurrences that plagued all of us through it all, it's easy to think that it might have been longer. It's hard to describe as well but everyone should know all that has happened.

Yes, the deities have the power to do most anything here. I don't believe I've ever heard of their limitations.

He's back to normal now... but still recovering from his injuries and the other effects he accumulated from having the core inside him.

Yes. He's very different from the man you encountered back then at Xanadu, Lady Natalia. Yuri's a man after my own ideals and what he became back then was possibly one of the embodiment of the very things he despises. A person without respect of true justice...

To be quite honest, it is... very difficult to believe, Flynn. But I shall take your word for it. I understand that the City- it can do terrible things to the citizens, even drive people to murder and cannibalism.

It might take time... a long time. But I sincerely hope that one day, you will be able to think of him in a better light. This probably sounds selfish, or callous, but when it comes to Yuri, I believe that I know him better than anyone else. I believe that he's worth believing in, even after something like this, and that he'll prove himself.

Worry not, Flynn, if you believe in him so sincerely- I trust your judgment.

To be honest- I've known someone who, out of ignorance, killed an entire city of people. This man- through your trust in him, I also believe in him to do the right thing.

That's a bit extreme. But you don't sound like you have any deep grudge towards him.

I suppose you could say I've learned the meaning of forgiveness and humility.

I'd rather not assume that it is my place to judge.

You have a good heart. I think something like that would be very difficult to forgive.

I would have a hard time forgiving someone if they caused that much damage. A whole city... it's unimaginable, and especially with the number of cities in Terca Lumireis currently as a result of the limited barrier blastias we have in possession. It would just be devastating.

It- we were all very upset with him. At the time, he and I were engaged. It was certainly a shock. But- he changed, he realized that he had to atone for his deeds. And watching him do just that- well, it will never bring back those lost lives, but he was. He was a very good person.

And your friend Yuri. It is only fair to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Though should he try this again, I won't hesitate to personally mete out the punishment. And I assure you, it will be quite painful.

It's not really like that. I don't think I've "endured a lot". But living in the Lower Quarter does change your perceptive a bit. My experiences with Yuri helps me a lot.

The Lower Quarter- is it really such a different experience?

A bit. The Lower Quarter is where the poorest people of Zaphias live. As well as orphans from the Great War like Yuri and me that had no other relatives in the Capital to take them. You can say that that made us want a better life for the people we grew up with. Because part of the reason they could never climb out of poverty is because of the laws itself that help the rich instead of the poor. I'm changing that, slowly, and Master Ioder is too.

That's quite an admirable goal. Though I must wonder about the administration of your world- such treatment of their citizens is- well, I can't say I approve of it at all.

It's not that bad, but it could be a lot better. And that's exactly what Master Ioder will do; bring about a lot of changes in his rule. We have been without an Emperor for many years but with him on the throne now, things should improve.

Without an- my whatever for? I'm certainly relieved to hear that someone will be taking over the throne!

Various reasons, none of which I'm all that free to speak of, I'm afraid. But yes, Master Ioder finally ascending to the throne will certainly bring about a new and better era for the Empire.

It is only a shame I cannot meet the future Emperor of your world. If only our worlds could be connected, I think many beneficial things could result from it.
