It looks like today is much the same as yesterday. If there is anyone present amongst you who count themselves a member of the Knights and hail from Terca Lumereis as well, then I would like to make a request: If it is at all possible, I wish to convey a message to my subordinates back home.

Sodia, Witcher; if the two of you are present, then I may as well deliver this message personally.

[ ooc; And before 4th wall ends, here is ~~Guy~~ Flynn Scifo. This guy (lolpun*shot*) will be okay with everything but, uh, spoilers beyond Zaude and gd. the fact that Sodia stabbed Yuri. Do not tell him, omg. ;_;... um. I think that about covers it. ]

Chakra... I suppose pursuing that topic won't get me anywhere. I'm a Knight, not a mage.

[ He clears his throat and thinks-- would it be alright to change the subject so abruptly? It's okay, he supposes... he did want to know, right? ]

Miss Ino, Yuri tells me he hasn't gotten into 'much' trouble here. I'd like to hear from you what he's been doing here. It looks like... I have a lot to catch up to with regards to that.

Let's see...

[ She tilts her head to the side for a moment, as if thinking. Yuri... hadn't gotten into as much trouble as she would've expected of his type, actually. ]

He's actually been pretty good lately. There was this curse that had him bleeding all over the apartment, but that really wasn't his fault. Ever since Estelle left, he's been behaving.

Bleeding... all over the apartment? Was he hurt?

[ And he conveniently skips everything else Ino had said for that one part. He's still new to the city though, so he doesn't realize yet that... well, the curse is really just that. He looks genuinely concerned here. ]

Oh... no.

[ She's a little baffled by his concern, but--that's right. He's new. And way too nice. ]

It was just a curse. Like today, and there's really nothing you can do about them except wait for them to go away. [ And, a little more gently: ] He was fine.

[ And he sighs here in relief. ]

But it looks like these curses will one day cause him to get hurt, if he hasn't already.

[ And he realizes here that uh- well, yeah, he overreacted back there. ]

I'm sorry. It's just- when it comes to Yuri, I know I have to worry just a bit more. He makes it hard to rest easy when I just know he'll keep trying to do things on his own and bearing the burden when he can just because he thinks it's better that way.

[ And Yuri; the single person who makes Flynn sigh a lot. He probably sounds like a mother, or worse, a wife saddled with a gung-ho soldier for a husband. ]

The curses are kind of unavoidable, unfortunately.

[ Yeah--it does sound like that. But luckily, Ino finds it pretty adorable, and she tucks a smile behind her hand. ]

Mm, he's pretty stubborn, huh?

[ She can listen to this cuteness all. day. long. ]

[ he just takes that first statement with dignified silence; maybe, he'll find a way around that. He'll have to look... somehow. ]

Pretty might not be the right word for it. Very. He's the kind who would really lay down his life without a second thought if it meant saving a single person. It's a somewhat envious trait, but one that worries his friends.

[ He kind of stops there as he recalls Zaude, and how Yuri had avoided one life-threatening situation only to fall into another, literally. ]

But he's a good friend.

Yeah, trust me, I know the type.

[ Her smile turns fond, and she folds her hands in her lap, looking across the room rather than at Flynn. She's ~reminiscing~. ]

We've been stuck here for... a long time now. Like, eight months maybe? To be honest, I knew Estelle better than I did him, but now that she's gone, I guess...

[ Shrug. She doesn't really know where she's going with this. ]

You're right. He's a really good friend.

You know someone like him?

[ He almost waits for Ino to continue, but then he realizes it must be Estellise... ]

Was it Lady Estelli- Estelle? [ He corrects himself for her sake. ]

No one quite like him.

[ She laughs, because it's true. Yuri is... unique. Very unique. Then she turns her head to look at Flynn, raising her eyebrows at him. ]

You know Estelle too?

For your sake, I'm glad.

[ He laughs a little- and... the question honestly surprises him. Why would he... Oh. ]

I assumed it was Lady Estellise-- Estelle because of Yuri. If Yuri knows her, then- I suppose it must be the same one I know.

I could mistaken...

[ She laughs again, glad that Flynn is at least... honest about Yuri, even if he seems naive about everything else, then points to her head. ]

Pink hair, green eyes? Kind of flat-chested?

Flat-chested. [ He says this absent-mindedly, in... surprise. But he catches himself quick. And is able to smile charmingly ~]

Yes. That would be Lady Estellise. Come to think of it, Yuri did mention Her Highness' being here...

I suppose I missed her.

[ There he goes again, calling her Lady Estellise. It's... weird, but not really that incongruous with Ino's impression of her. Sheltered noble isn't that big a leap from sheltered girl. ]

That's weird. She never said anything about being a lady... she told me to call her Estelle.

That would be Yuri's influence. I think it's a good thing she's managed to keep it from you.

It looks like I was the one who should have been taking a page from Yuri in this situation.

[ Too much information, he reminds himself, and stops there. ]

Hm, yeah, Yuri seems to have a pretty big influence on her, huh?

[ Hint hint. Nudge nudge. Ino can't be the only one who noticed the romantic possibilities! ]

Why's that?

It means having to extend my worries for someone else, as well, but... it's been for the better. The two of them needed to get out together and see the world themselves.

[ Well, yes! Because Yuri had this-- expression! But Ino needs to try harder and get rid completely of that subtlety to get anywhere with this knight in matters out of his "knightly duties"! ]

Any noble would attract unwanted attention-- it would simply be safer to lay low and avoid notice.

Trust me, there's plenty of nobles here. It's not that weird in the City.

[ She rolls her eyes, though she's still smiling. Surrounded by amateurs. ]

But... yeah. They seemed pretty close, from what I remember.

[ Come on, Flynn! ]

It would appear that way. [ The gears in his head are tuuurniiing right round, turning riiight roouuund-- ]

He seemed very affected by the fact that she had forgotten everything they'd been through when they met again. I had reason to believe a lot had happened.

[ ding ding ding! ]

But he denied having developed a romantic relationship with Lady Estellise.

[ Hey, you're not as dumb as you look, Flynn! ]

Unfortunately, they didn't.

[ She sounds very put out as she says this, and pouts a little too. Her plan was supposed to be foolproof! If only... if only Estelle had stuck around longer, and things would've worked out! ]

But they were this close, I swear. [ She holds up a hand, using her thumb and forefinger to show him just how close. ] I almost had it!

I think we should just give them some time. I, for one, am somewhat concerned about the effects of such a relationship, but if it's what Yuri wants then as a friend I'll support him and Lady Estellise.

[ He says this very seriously, as if-- well, as if it's just a fact. ]

He needs to get over the notion that I'm a better candidate for Lady Estellise, first. [ He adds then, because Flynn can't possibly forget Yuri's self-demeaning babble about how the Commandant is more worthy of Her Highness... ]

But she was totally head over heels for him, and it turns out Yuri knew. I mean, I still don't know how he felt, because he's an idiot, but he knew. Hm. [ Yes, she's actually giving this some thought. But they were so cute together--well, okay, Estelle was cute and Yuri was more a jerk, but he'd been getting better! Maybe there were some sort of implications in their world or something?

But that just made things more ~romantic~ in her opinion. ]

Wait, why? [ ...Oh right, Yuri is a douche. ] Because you're a lot nicer?

[ Hearing this is a bit strange for Flynn, because of certain circumstances way back then, but-- he supposes it's nothing. ]

Yuri is a lot more perceptive than people think, and I'm not surprised at all to hear that from you. And it has nothing to do with being my being nicer, in this case, though that might be easier to understand.

[ He pauses as he thinks of a way to put it into the right words-- ]

I think Yuri might be insecure of the fact that he holds no proper title, or position in the Empire to possibly stand as an equal with Lady Estellise. It may seem silly, because Yuri himself doesn't give much importance to position of nobility... but in this case, it might just be so.

You're right, that is silly.

[ It may seem a little mean, but to Ino, a duck is a duck is a duck. She waves a dismissive hand, as if sweeping away the topic. ]

I think he's just deflecting or something. Seriously, I really hate his poker face sometimes.

[ The flippant attitude doesn't really affect Flynn, being used to much the same from Yuri. ]
